Retinal Prosthesis Group

Development of a Retinal Prosthesis to Restore Vision to Sufferers of Degenerative Retinal Diseases

The retinal prosthesis group is a collaboration between the Detector Development Group of the Department of Physics & Astronomy, and the Institute of Biomedical & Life Sciences within the University of Glasgow. The research group is truly interdisciplinary, with expertise ranging from the design, manufacture and characterisation of biocompatible microelectronic devices, the acquisition and analysis of biological datasets, and in depth knowledge of the physiology and electrophysiology of the visual system.
